Derelict turet Empty Derelict turet

Some of you might recall my idea of derelict turret from original Complex forum.

Derelict turet Ss000111

Possibly it's a part from Progenitor wreck

Ideas:

A) Capture the derelict turret - spend loads or RU's on research. Then you'll be able to fix it and build
some sort of platform around it - for the crew, power source, targeting systems etc.
B) Capture and reverse engineer new powerful technology only obtainable this way.

I envisioned it as sort of en equivalent of the Siege Canon from HW Cataclysm.
Takes a long time to recharge but has a long range and massive damage with
area of effect.

I think that will be a moment when one of the Bentusi makes it's return heavily damaged and in need of massive repairs. They will then tell you a story about an ancient war between them and "". I think that'd give an epic story.
Little late now, will work on a story tomorrow for sure. Even if you disagree. *Smirk* >: )

The fact that you can research and repair ancient Progenitor technology is a bit... Not Homeworldy to me. I mean, Bentus could do it, yes, but I think only Bentusi and the Progenitor themselves should be able to repair and or research such technology.

It would create quite a battle for map control. We should have a map with a capturable turret, I guess.
