I like it, looks good! However, it does seem to lack the unique qualities of other designs...is that CFHodEd, with a carrier engine added to the rear of a Battlecruiser?
I can see some texture distortion around the joint.
Honestly, it would work. But I'm still hoping for these designs to be textured. They would be incredible; even though we've had difficulty getting them done, I'm sure it CAN be done.

The trick is to find a texturer - this has always been my problem!

I'm pretty good at drawing up 2D high res images if I've got a foundation to work with... I could try my hand at it (heck I've tried everything else but!) just so we can see how it turns out.
Anything would be better than gray/naked. I'll read up on texturing and give it a go, who knows!

So, I've been reading up, and a lot of what is involved in texturing is stuff I'm already familiar with, just have never applied it to that end.
Is there any way I can get my hands on those blank models so I can start working on that?

IMO we have a winner, I can make modest work with that no problem, it looks stunning, I'd probably only change the boldness of the team colour pattern, to be closer to the battlecruiser. maybe swap out the bridge for a smaller one too.

Yeah, honestly I really like that one also.
I still want to get my feet wet on texturing though - I know we will need some texturing work when we get the third race work started.

Haha! That may be true, but don't get your head stuck with that third race of yours. We still haven't cleared out all problems with Complex and haven't balanced everything. After we're satisfied with the mod and no-one will report imbalances, I think then's the time to add a third race.

Lol I know I know, just been excited about and wanting a third race for... Uh... A long time lol.
That, and I know how valuable a skill texturing is when it comes to modding, and it's something I think I can probably do (well) if I ever tried to. I'll PM him and texture a brick in the meantime for practice lol.

We should though try to make it distinct enough from a distance that it doesn't get confused with the BC..., or maybe it would be more fun to make it very similar in its silhouette to the BC so that an enemy won't know what they are facing as it approaches!

But in all honesty and seriousness, I do agree with ALC that that'd be very offsetting and confusing for the opposition when they suddenly see a BC-modeled ship flying towards them.

Well if he needs brain powers he should check out certain space fantasy games or check google images for space cruisers there are plenty of which can be used and changed to fit hiigaran space shuttles

Well if i were to make something more Hiigaran i would loook at the smaller ships(like the interceptor)and try to remodel them in a way they look unique on their desing but not to look like an interceptor remodel

The front does look Hiigaran, but after going 20% along the length, it loses the standard design Hiigaran ships follow.

My computer crashed, frying all the hard drives. The ship was saved in the cloud so I have that, but I can't get Homeworld 2 to play on the new Windows 7 x64 machine so I don't know what it looks like in game...
But, as you can see I updated the paint scheme. The HOD also has a LOD1 model.

I have the german crack. I just had to move the installation out of the Program Files (x86) folder and the installation threw a "no sound device detected" error, so I have to use the -nosound command line switch...for now.Nice. Get the german crack to fix the game.
